Hello North Attleboro High School Students and Parents,  We invite you to participate in the creation of our first annual NorthServes 9/11 Memorial Flag Garden at NAHS.  On Saturday September 9, a group of NorthServes student volunteers will plant 2977 American flags on the Wilson Whitty Way median at the high school and they request your support and participation. The students want to add lighting to this memorial so it can be seen at night and ask that you donate or lend any ground level solar light you can share. You can bring them to the high school between 9-12 on the 9th or drive by after school hours and place them in the flag garden yourselves between the 9th and the 15th. If you want your lights back, please be sure to put your name on them, or feel free to donate them as well for the annual project. Thanks, NAHS NorthServes Student Volunteers

Your voice matters, and the Town needs your input! We're exploring the possibility of establishing a Sharps Disposal Program to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. "Sharps" are those medical devices with sharp points that might be used to manage various health conditions. This program could be a game-changer for people and their pets dealing with various medical conditions like allergies, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, and more. Your input matters, whether you've personally experienced the need or not. Your participation is vital, and we want to assure you that all information collected will be kept anonymous. Help us shape the future of North Attleboro by sharing your thoughts and needs. Your time and responses are deeply appreciated. Together, we can create a safer and healthier community!
Fats, oils, and grease (FOG) are a significant cause of clogs and spills in household and restaurant plumbing and public sewer lines. When FOG gets into the sewer line, it sticks to pipe walls, creating significant blockages when it cools. FOG blockages in the sewer line can quickly increase the likelihood of a sanitary sewer overflow in both the public sewer lines and your home. A preventative solution is to throw leftover FOG into a compost bin or trash instead of pouring them down the drain. If you use a paper towel to wipe FOG from cooking utensils, dishes, and pots, put the towel in the compost bin or trash. This simple measure will help reduce the risk of a sanitary sewer overflow occurring. Please reach out to us at 508-695-7790 if you have any questions about the program and please take a look at the attached flyer for more information.
The Chaminade Club of Attleboro, the Schubert Club, and LiveARTS of Franklin are joining forces for the 2023-24 season.
"We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who have already participated in the Community Health Equity Survey brought to you by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH).  Your responses are invaluable in shaping a healthier and more equitable future for our communities. However, we understand that the response to the survey has been relatively low so far. We believe that every voice matters in our collective efforts to address health inequities and uplift the well-being of all residents. Therefore, we are re-announcing this important initiative to encourage those who haven't participated yet to take a few moments and share their experiences. Why Your Participation is Crucial: The insights you provide will directly influence funding decisions, program implementations, and policy developments aimed at creating a positive impact on the health and well-being of our communities. By participating, you're contributing to a more inclusive and healthier Massachusetts for everyone. How to Take the Survey: Taking the survey is easy and anonymous. Just visit this link to access the survey. Your candid responses will help shape the direction of community health initiatives in the coming months. Survey Timeline: The survey is open until Fall 2023, so you have ample time to participate and make your voice heard. Remember, your input is a crucial part of this effort, and we genuinely appreciate your involvement. Let's work together to build a healthier, more equitable future for all Massachusetts residents. Your participation matters!"

This month it's time for us to be good to ourselves,  It's Self-Care Awareness Month and let me be the 1st to say....Self-Care is NOT selfish!  That's what we are talking about on the Good News For Today Show on our North TV Community Channel. Go check it out. There's some GREAT points on there for you to take care of YOU!"  ~Deniese Sheppard.
Deniese's special guest on the show is Shabranae Patton, owner of Anchor'd Inc, "Organic wellness for the body, coastal tranquility for the home. Self-Care is Not Selfish
Hunger Action Month, Suicide Awareness Month and Self-Care Month all have one thing in common.  People.  This world, it's people, YOU, need daily, loving care and each of us need to take time for self-care.  Self-care is not selfish.  It's an act of love towards, not only ourselves, but others also.  When you love yourself enough to give yourself the best care possible then your family and those around you will benefit greatly, too.  You will be happier, healthier and stronger and your light will shine brighter because you took the time to take care of yourself.

Did you know that "Loving your neighbor as yourself is found eight times in the Bible? Not once. Not twice. Eight times. Loving your neighbor as yourself is so important to God that He not only repeats Himself, He makes it a command. And not just one in a list of many commands. Jesus coupled the command to love your neighbor as yourself with loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.  James calls it the royal law..."
